Sorry for not being around for teaching scrims lately, but work has been keeping me busy. I was only meant to come back and organize during the christmas holidays when I had some extra time and was hoping some others would step up to help out after. This has however not happened, and I don't have the time anymore to do this on my own. Combined with recent events where people are just showing up to troll, pretending to be other ppl, etc etc, I've decided to not put even more energy into this project at the current time.
The tournament that was scheduled for next week has also been cancelled.
I'm sorry for everyone who was coming to the scrims and enjoying them. If anyone feels like taking over, please feel free to do so.
@Lam3rz And how exactly did he prove it? Zynkh got caught on botting several times even after his "open apology".
@Sync provided hard evidence of botting Zynkh once again after his comming out. He got busted several times once again.
So if you are saying everyone is allowed to participate in the Teaching Scrims as long as they don't use any kind of bots during the scrims, [SHOP] , Marc and Co should be allowed to participate in that case. Is that what you are saying? It is fine by me. Ill talk to the SHOP people then, I think some of them will gladly attend to the scrims.
So you will have more players to play with, maybe its a step in the right direction.
If they come to teaching scrims, behave there and also stop botting everywhere else, I can try and see if I can make it happen. However, keep botting everywhere else and the deal is off. It's a place to prove yourself.
Also, I'll delete any stupid posts here. Keep the drama in the other threads.
Updated OP, looking for someone willing to organize Saturdays casual scrimmages.
On the topic of all the botter talk:
First of all, I don't want to turn this thread into another one concerning botters. However, I have been getting questions etc on who we should/should not allow into the teaching scrims. Most agree that players that have somehow proven they are now playing 'clean' should be allowed. This is one of the reasons I have allowed Zynkh to join us for these scrims lately, during which none of his teammates or his opponents complained to me whatsoever about him (apart from a few which refuse to give any botter any chance at a new start). I am also not against allowing the others to join us, as long as they leave their botting in the past where it should stay. These are teaching scrims. There is nothing for you to gain by cheating there. Also, how can people prove they are playing clean now if we don't give them a chance to prove themselves by letting them play in a format where we can easily keep an eye out on things.
If for some reason you feel like you have to bot in an environment where it is fine to make mistakes from time to time and people actually play together in order to improve, just stay away. If anyone is ever caught botting in these teaching scrims, then you are really a sad person and will be banned from these scrims in the future. If people ever have suspicions of someone botting during scrims, please send me a PM so I, and others, can observe what is going on.
Also, thank you for all the feedback you gave on last Sundays teaching scrims. Its nice to hear how it went in the eyes of all the players. Does anyone have an idea on what we can focus coming Sunday and which map we should play on?
Just a reminder for tonights scrims:
When: Sun, Jan 29th around 8:45PM CET/7:45PM GMT/2:45PM EST/11:45PM PST (Google 'CET to my time' to be sure)
Meet: Guild [Flux] (PM Leila of Langlar for a guest invite)
Builds: TBA, potentially decided by the Team leader (Banned: Wastrels / Zurrie Dervs)
Flux: No flux this month to worry about!
Map: Druids Isle
Organisers: Leila of Langlar
If you already know you are going to attend, send me a PM (here or in game) somewhere today, so I can maybe already prepare some teams so we can get started fast!
Thanks all for signing up. We almost have full teams now.
After yesterdays teaching scrims I asked around which date suited people best for the tournament (Sundays feb 12th or 26th) and the outcome was that the majority favoured Sunday February 26th. This is a week after the mAT and still a good month away.
I also know a couple will not be able to make this. Could these people let me know, either here or via PM, so I can sort out the pairs again. Sorry if this date doesn't work for you. If the tourny works out and we want to do it again I'll pick a date first so people know when it is :)
I'll try and make balanced teams out of all the pairs the coming week, and also try and accommodate everyones wishes with whom they want to be in a team with. I'll post them here as soon as I have them.
Another thread with the actual tournament setup will be posted when we have everything figured out, so keep an eye out for that!
Thanks everyone for showing up yesterday and helping out! We had 4 teams playing for most of the evening with also a lot of new people joining this time.
I can only really organize this once a week, so if we want to try and get the (more casual, less teaching) saturday scrims going again (after the C-AT), I'm going to need some help from you all. PM me, or post here if you feel like helping out with this!
Bump for scrims tonight!
We will also be deciding on a date for the teaching scrims tourny.
@Hamstorm Would it be possible to put me in a team with Stark or/and Walky? Would help to practise for Feb mAT already.
Sorry, this will not be possible, since all 3 of you signed up for a learner backline position. Unfortunately. you will all have to be in a different team.
